Weber Q for camp breakfast? It’s possible with the Weber flat griddle

Cooking breakfast at the campsite has always been one of my favorite camping activities and I’m testing it out on the Weber Q grill. Everyone is hungry and you usually have a great view of the wilderness. In this video I cooked a full breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns and tortillas out in the backyard. Check it out:

My usual go-to method of cooking is on the trusty Coleman camp stove and a cast iron pan or skillet. But lately this Weber Q 1200 has been handling more and more of my cooking needs at the campsite. I hate taking multiple methods of cooking to the campsite, so I am trying to figure out if the Weber Q or the Coleman stove can handle all my cooking needs individually.

This grill comes in handy for all other meals because not only does it work as a grill, but the heat kept inside the lid makes it act like an oven or a roaster. Here are some more things we’ve cooked on this cooktop:

So will this grill be a staple in my truck camper? Probably not full-time, but I’ll bring it on day trips to the beach and camping trips where I know I’ll be grilling up some delicious meats. It’s great to know I can use it to cook a fantastic camp breakfast.

What are some of your favorite methods for cooking breakfast at the campsite?

Happy Camping everyone!
