Right now I’m using the Anker Solix C1000 to power all my electronics in the bed of the truck camper. This would also work great in a van, small camper, or RV. There are plenty of other options that I recommend — especially the Pecron E1500LFP. A portable power station paired with a modern power strip such as the Anker Nano Charging Strip, and you’re set.
Since I have velcro completely covering the studs in the camper, there are plenty of places to attach things too. Here’s how I used that Anker power strip plugged into the Solix C1000 portable power station to get power up to the area where the computer monitor and Nintendo Switch or computer is in the camper:
It’s a very simple setup. I didn’t want to hassle with a pieced together DIY unit which would have made for a mess of cables and components. The prices of these units are getting cheaper and the charge rate is MUCH faster than previous generations of power stations. My Anker Solix C1000 is just over 1,000 watt hours and can charge off a wall plug from 0 to 100% in around an hour. I highly recommend getting a unit that uses Lifepo4 batteries as they last longer than your standard Lithium batteries and are safer.

Here’s a video of my setup running a Nintendo Switch to a computer monitor, all plugged into the power station and power strip:
Right now my only method of recharging is by the wall outlet in my garage (0-100% in one hour) or via the truck’s 12 volt round cigarette lighter ports. Eventually I’ll wire up to the car’s battery so it can charge my power station while we drive. OVRLND Campers also installed a solar port on the roof of my camper which I’ll eventually get around to.
